Much more than just DJs, Friends in Stereo takes traditional deejaying a step further by incorporating live instrumentation, real-time effects and live vocals into a style that can be described as groovy performance art. Friends Colin Chapman, Reggie Lafaye and vocalist Orange Peel Moses have each played an integral part in the Denver dance-music scene's development and maturation for more than a decade, and while it's recently become fashionable to abandon pure electronic music in favor of dance rock like LCD Soundsystem, Friends in Stereo has remained true to its roots and to pure electronic music. With sharp breakbeats, electro riffs and Orange Peel's vocals in the mix, the collective just may be the best thing to happen to Denver dance music since the advent of turntables. -Westword

We are all...Friends in Stereo.

Sean Hartgrove / photographer www.seanhartgrove.com
Sean was photographing FIS before we even knew what "Friends in Stereo" was. Our first magazine spread in Image Magazine was shot by Sean in some old hot rods (see photo section). YEAH! He has recently given us our new "look". The main image on this website was photographed by sean. It's great working with a real pro!

Daniel Venegas / graphic design www.bravecreation.com
This world-class designer and product engineer has been an integral part of Friends in Stereo from the beginning. He is responsible for the highly acclaimed FIS logo. Daniel continues to play a major part in FIS's concept, branding and graphic design needs. You Rock!

Melinda Dickson / vocalist www.myspace.com/melindadickson
This rising international star needs no introduction. The vocal and lyrical talents of Melinda Dickson are unsurpassed and it's always a joy and pleasure to record her. Melinda is FIS's number 1 female vocal choice. If we can't hire her to do the job...the job can wait. Thanks for all your talent and hard work!

orange peel moses / vocalist / writer www.myspace.com/orangepeelmoses
orange peel's contributions to Friends in Stereo and the FIS vibe cannot go without mention. He plays a key role in live performance, male vocals and kicking ass while taking names with the press. Without orange peel, Friends in Stereo might exist...but probably not. In fact, it was the legendary orange peel who asked Satori.C and PJ Stroller to remix his track "Jesus Was An Alien Magician". Without him weaving the fabric of that initial connection, Friends in Stereo absolutely would not exist.

Eric Bakst / videographer www.opticzipper.com/
Eric is our go-to-guy when we need some serious video coverage of an event. We will soon have some live compiled video from one of our most talked about gigs from the 2006 Global Dance Festival located in Morrison, Colorado. Watch out for a new FIS music video coming soon!

Image Magazine www.imagemag.com
It's not always a bad thing sleeping your way to the top. In fact, we highly recommend it! Image Mag has issued countless articles and ads about FIS and our music. We are forever in debt to publisher at large Greg Bloom for the connections he has brought us! Thanks buddy! See you in the slammer tomorrow night!
